Meet The Doctors


Kathleen Salius, D.D.S.

Dr. Salius began her career as a dental hygienist in Connecticut. After graduating from the University of Connecticut she entered the Medical College of Virginia Dental School. She graduated in 1990 with numerous awards in the area of Prosthodontics including OKU-National Dental Honor Society. This was followed by two years of advanced training to receive a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Prosthodontics from the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
Leaving the south, Dr. Salius came to New York to study implant dentistry. She completed a two year Fellowship in Implant Dentistry from New York University. Dr. Salius has been with the practice since 1996.

Like the other dentists in the practice Dr. Salius donates her time teaching implant dentistry  at New York University.

Dr. Salius travels yearly with Bethesda Medical Mission to Haiti to provide dental care

Joe Bastadjian, D.D.S.

Dr. Bastadjian received his DDS degree from New York University in 1994. Upon graduation he was the recipient of the Eugene Rotschield Award for Excellence in Fixed Prosthodontics as well as a membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon a National Dental Honor Society. Following this he continued his studies to receive a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Prosthodontics. Dr. Bastadjian then did an additional two years of training in surgical implant dentistry to receive a Fellowship in Implant Dentistry in 1998.

Dr. Bastadjian divides his private practice time between Manhattan and Westchester. He has been practicing at Prosthodontic & Implant Associates Since 2000. He has also been committed to education, spending time every week as an Associate Clinical Professor in the department of  Implant Dentistry and Periodontics at New York University.

Claire S. Kim, D.M.D.

Dr. Kim earned her DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania graduating with numerous awards in the area of restorative dentistry. After graduating from dental school she accepted a General Practice Residency at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in New York City. 

Inspired by the level of knowledge and patient care provided by the Prosthodontic Department, Dr. Kim decided to enhance her dental experience and become a Prosthodontist. She continued her education at the Manhattan VA and NYU College of Dentistry for an additional three years and received a certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Prosthodontics. She is a board eligible member of the American College of Prosthodontists. Dr. Kim’s prosthodontic training gives her the knowledge and clinical skills to treat diverse and complex oral conditions with state of the art techniques and procedures.

Dr. Kim grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and she now lives in Manhattan.  In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, running and travel.

Sung Eun (Susie) Kim, D.M.D.

After completing her undergraduate degree in chemistry at Bryn Mawr College, Dr. Kim earned her dental doctorate at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Her love for providing comprehensive care led her to Harvard School of Dental Medicine where she trained an extra three years to specialize in prosthodontics. There, she served as the chief resident, received the prestigious award from the Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry, and graduated with a Masters in Medical Sciences. She is a board eligible member of the American College of Prosthodontists. Additionally, Dr. Kim teaches at the Englewood Hospital in NJ.

 

Outside of the dental office, Dr. Kim loves hanging out with her family and friends. She loves all cats and dogs but especially Mango, her orange tabby cat. In her spare time, she really enjoys working out at Orangetheory, journaling, and going on adventures!

Maria Vlock, D.D.S.

Dr. Vlock earned her DDS degree at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, graduating with awards in prosthodontics and restorative dentistry. She stayed at Columbia for an additional three years to achieve a Master’s degree and certificate in prosthodontics, serving as the chief resident in her final year. Her passion for high quality, compassionate patient care and her interest in both oral and facial prosthetic rehabilitation led her to pursue a fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthetics at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. There, she received specialized training in the care of oncology patients with complex medical and dental needs. After having completed all her training in New York City, Dr. Vlock is excited to return to Westchester, where she grew up.
